The 2023 USA Powerlifting Summer Smash is open to all currently registered USA Powerlifting members. Membership Cards can be purchased online at http://www.usapowerlifting.com.
All lifters must have been drug-free for the past thirty-six (36) months.
Spectator Admission: $10
Eligibility Requirements:
✓ Open to ALL lifters, ages 8 to 108.
✓ New lifters, novice lifters, CrossFit athletes, and experienced all welcome
✓ No qualifying totals are required to compete in this competition
Full Power: $125
Additional Division: $35
Push/Pull Only: $125
Divisions:
- Raw Youth (8-13) – Top 3 in each weight class
- Raw Teen (14-19) – Top 3 in each weight class
- Raw Junior (20-23) – Top 3 in each weight class
- Raw Open (24-39) – Top 3 in each weight class
- Raw Master (40 & up) – Top 3 in each weight class
- Equipped Open – Top 3 in each weight class
- Raw with Wraps Open – Top 3 in each weight class
Each participant will receive (1) free T-shirt with the option to purchase an additional T-shirt located below.

Friday evening equipment check (watch your email for time).
Saturday:
SESSION 1
- 7am Weigh-ins
- 8:30am Rules briefing
- 9am Lifting begins
- Awards immediately following deadlifts
SESSION 2
- 12pm Weigh-ins
- 1:30pm Rules briefing
- 2pm Lifting begins
- Awards immediately following deadlifts
Sunday:
SESSION 1
- 7am Weigh-ins
- 8:30am Rules briefing
- 9am Lifting begins
- Awards immediately following deadlifts
SESSION 2
- 12pm Weigh-ins
- 1:30pm Rules briefing
- 2pm Lifting begins
- Awards immediately following deadlifts
Please note this schedule may change as we finalize registration. Please be available to lift either Saturday OR Sunday. A finalized schedule we be released no later than June 25.

Last year (our very first year running this event) we had 115 participants & over 220 spectators across the span of our 2-day competition. We anticipate this year being even bigger & better than 2022.
This year we’ve added several sponsorship levels so you can choose the commitment that fits your business needs & goals.
Sponsorship Levels
Premier (Only 1): $1000 – Logo placement on front of meet day T-shirts, Event name to include company name (Ex. 2023 ‘Bob’s Mowing Summer Smash’), Booth space day-of event (both days), Option to contribute to lifter goodie bags, Mic time at the event (both days)
Superior (Only 6): $500 – Prominent logo placement on back of meet day T-shirts & in all marketing of the event, Booth space day-of event (both days), Option to contribute to lifter goodie bags, Mic time at the event (both days)
Regular (Unlimited): $250 – Logo placement on back of meet day T-shirts & in all marketing of the event
It is our hope to secure enough sponsors to give out cash prizes for all divisions this year, which would be the first time ever in the history of USA Powerlifting in Kansas.
